One of my favorite activities is drawing quick (and free) portraits at festivals or in classroom. Here are some of the venues I frequent:

• The Family Arts Festival, sponsored by Five Rivers Arts.
• Books & Blooms, sponsored by Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance and held at Maine Coast Botanical Gardens.
• The annual Peace Fair in Brunswick, Maine.
• The annual children's book sale at Curtis Memorial Library.
