I had published seven books, but they were all "unagented." That means, I had to find the publishers myself - a not terribly fun pastime. Just when I needed her most, she got on a bus and took the seat next to me, quite literally. She has represented me ever since. So, the moral of the story is: believe hard enough, and the agent will get on the bus. Really! |
